Vintage by Misty

The ultimate fashion nightmare, you see a girl wearing the same outfit you just bought. We have all been there, but why should you have to continue to buy the same shirt countless other girls on campus have? Gain your originality back and embraze the city where trendsetters flock and local businesses thrive.

On April 1, 2011 downtown Phoenix welcomed a new local business, Vintage by Misty. Located on North Central Ave. just two blocks away from the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus, Vintage by Misty is not only unique for the buyer but for the seller as well. Owner Misty Guerriero gives each customer a one on one personal style experience that makes the customer feel as if they just hired Rachel Zoe to dress them.

Guerriero has always been a lover of the arts and fashion. She originally started off as an interior designer. Through designing houses she found a real passion for Vintage items. Misty started buying vintage for herself and never really thought to sell her natural eye for clothing until people started stopping her on the street and insisting they needed what she had on.

"People would stop me and ask where I got my clothing. They would offer me money for what I was wearing, so I would literally sell things off me," said Guerriero.

To preserve her own wardrobe, Guerriero opened up her own vintage section in Estilo Boutique in Scottsdale. When Estilo closed she saw a window open up for herself and she moved downtown to open Vintage by Misty.

When you stop at Vintage by Misty you are buying a peice with a story, whether it's clothing or accessories you are not just buying another item off the rack. Each article of clothing brought into this store has personality and flare that makes people want to know who is that and where did she get that? Knowing you're the only girl with chic vintage will give you the originality and confidence that every girl strives to have when they get dressed.
