Moon boots were initially created in the early 1970s by Tecnica Group of Italy. However, it wasn't until the 1980s that they became a trend. After disappearing for years, this style of shoe is back and more stylish than ever.
The boots are ultra luxurious waxed suede with a patent trim. You can choose from black, white or if you are feeling especially daring, the leopard print style. The boots are retailed for $995 a pair.

Jimmy Choo is not alone in it's expedition for the return of the moon boot, Chloe has two types of shearling lined boots that are retailed for $525 a pair. Both Jimmy Choo and Chloe released their designer versions of moon boots at the same time. Back in 2004 Marc Jacobs released their own version of moon boots, or snow boots as they called them, which graced the feet of many during the winter months in bigger cities. The New York Times claimed moon boots would be the next big thing in an artivle in October 2004.
Ruth La Ferla of the New York Times stated, "And though they have been seen on the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Pamela Anderson, moon boots are that true rarity, a fashion fad that seems to have surfaced spontaneously."
When worn appropriately, this fad has potential to stick around. These look great during the winter months and are sure to make a statement on the ski slopes.
In the words of Napoleon Dynamite, "They're basically moon boots but have better traction and are more aerodynamic. You should probably get a pair."
