“Jewelry is such personal expression of style and taste,” Simpson said in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily. “This collection has allowed me to create pieces that truly reflect who I am, and that can become a keepsake for a lifetime.”

The collection, amply called Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend, will include pendants, bracelets, rings, bangles and earrings in gold, diamond, silver or a combination of all three ranging from $79-$999.
The appeal of Simpson as a designer and collaborator is her ability to relate to different audiences.
“Jessica Simpson is viewed as the girl next door, and our guest is a midmarket guest and we believe she is someone that they can identify with,” Theo Killion, Zale Corp’s chief executive officer, said to Women’s Wear Daily. “She has great reach and great power across a number of different categories.” Killion said the collection will debut in 400 Zales stores nationwide this October.
Simpson said she set out to design for “every woman” regardless of different tastes and budgets.
“The collection is beautifully crafted. The designs are airy and artistic and so easy to wear,” Simpson said. The intricately designed pieces are truly one of a kind. The center piece of the collection is a loop heart design pendant made to emulate Simpson’s own handwriting.

“I love that a piece of fine jewelry can be passed down from generation to generation,” Simpson said. “I cherish the pieces that were given to me, so it is really special to be able to design my own.”
With successful clothing, shoe, fragrance, and accessory lines, fine jewelry will be the perfect way to round out her already profitable retail history and turn Jessica Simpson into
a full blown fashion mogul.
