Even on the sunniest of days in Seattle, the west coastal state yields warm layers, versatile pieces, and muted accessories to match everything in between. I remember when I visited there as a young girl, we had road-tripped with summery clothing and I had to buy basically a whole new wardrobe for our stay. Needless to say, I wasn’t expecting the windiness and moist air from the water. That being said, it’s important to look put-together and fashionably thoughtful any place you are, even if a trip down Pike Street for coffee is absolutely necessary to keep warm!
The best pieces for Seattle living would be accessories and pieces to layer, as I mentioned before. Scarves, leggings, tights, cardigans, and jackets would be the most helpful for when the sun peeks in and out from behind the clouds. More structured pieces give each warm clothing piece a more stylistic touch, as always.
Jeans (especially skinny jeans) to tuck into boots, sandals, or comfy flats would match any weather, and skirts to pair with tights or bare legs are always a good idea, too.
I absolutely love the idea of layering pieces. It’s pretty obvious and easy to do, and coming from Colorado, I know that picking comfortable things that are cute and keep you warm can actually be fun. The city is a great place to show off your talent for trends and doing things your own way, so get up to Seattle, take a stroll down the downtown blocks, and strut your stuff!
Not all of these pictures are strictly Seattle style,
but you get the idea!
You’re Beautiful!
