The “Superbass” diva openly admits to window-shopping the Betseyville store while growing up in her hometown of Queens and then searching for cheaper knock-offs before she had become famous. More recently, Johnson reveals that she has collected magazine clippings of articles of clothing and wigs worn by the singer for inspiration for her future line.
The similar love of style between the the two women does not end there. Hair is a major factor in completing each outfit. At Johnson's show Minaj turned heads with her light blue tinted wig while Johnson rocked her signature pin-straight blonde locks . The 69-year old designer and the 28-year old artist both share an abundant appreciation for feminine pieces such as leopard pumps, floral handbags, and eye-catching necklaces.
