Warner Bros. Consumer Products has teamed up with Romeo & Juliet Couture to create a wonderfully assorted collection of clothes directly inspired by the hit TV series.

The Romeo & Juliet collection features cocktail dresses, tops, leggings, shorts, outerwear and shoes for fall. There are also plans to include accessories and handbags in the company’s spring 2012 collection.
The collection exclusively premiered on Sept. 26 on HauteLook.com, a website specializing in deals on top fashion brands, with discounts as high as 75 percent.
Although the couture line will be carried by high-end retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Kitson and Neiman Marcus, with a little saving, it can be accessible for the average paycheck shopper. Every piece in the collection costs between $80 and $200 -- prices far more reasonable than the designer pieces seen on the show.
In a press release, David Shamouelian, CEO of Romeo & Juliet Couture said, “The entire collection was inspired by the modern and sophisticated young woman portrayed in the show ‘Gossip Girl’… The designs are intended to empower young, independent women to embrace their feminine side and still maintain their strength.”
And if that weren’t enough excitement, Eric Daman, the official costume designer for “Gossip Girl” has created an eight-piece mini-collection of textured tights with DKNY.
“When we film in the winter in NYC, hosiery is a necessity, but it can also make an outfit totally fashionable and personalized,” Daman said in an interview with Nylon magazine. The assortment debuted in September, and can be found in department stores.
Inspired “Gossip Girl” fan girls can now hit the streets in the officially endorsed garments of Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen. Both the Romeo & Juliet and the DKNY collection cover the must-haves for fall, and will only keep us wanting more.
