Black Russian Label

Black Russian Label's designer Joanna de'Shay was born on the western coast of Africa. Her father is Nigerian while her mother is Russian, hence the name of her clothing line. The pieces are inspired by and representative of the many cultures, religions and nationalities around the world. Joanna currently attends Academy of Art in San Francisco for her MFA in Fashion Design. Upon graduation, she has a chance to show her line in New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park. Winning a grand prize of $10,000 from Phoenix Fashion Week's Emerging Designers contest back in October of 2009 and showing at PFW a second year in a row as an Established Designer should definitely put her above anyone in her class! Black Russian Label is full of innovativeness while still being functional.
