Stylist Jill DeAndrea

I would like to personally thank the fabulous Jill DeAndrea for speaking at our meeting on Friday. Jill had some great advice to offer about fashion and the industry. As we have seen in magazine trends, lace has been very popular for the fall. An encouragement from Jill was to go vintage shopping to find classic pieces that are staples to a wardrobe. You can pair a vintage jacket with a dress, but never over-do the vintage because it might look a little too crazy for the outfit. Fur is something that is always in for the winter/fall season and finding something legit could be pricey, but once again, finding something vintage could be perfect. Fashion by Robert Black features great vintage pieces that you can put together with just about anything. If that doesn't work for you, you can always go to Buffalo Exchange or a Boutique shop. Either way, if you're determined to find a piece, sometimes you have to dig before you find a goodie. Jill tells us that we should be well-rounded individuals and constantly reading a book/magazine and keeping up with trends as much as we can if this is something we are passionate about. Just remember to be something but ordinary, stick out from the rest and look outside the box to be noticed, because chances are if you are bringing something new to the table, you will get noticed. Thanks again Jill for the great presentation

Stay Classy and Fabulous,

Jacqueline Valle
