Everyone knows that fashion trends are all a matter of cycles. Things go in and out of fashion all the time and what was fashionable one season will probably come back in style next Fall. That said, my favorite trends are revivals of vintage styles. I love retro designs and when designers reintroduce them with a current taste they have always re-envisioned the styles creatively and appropriately for the times.
Dior's resort collection, a beautiful example of a vintage throwback. Even the models' hair and makeup resembled that of the retro icon Brigitte Bardot.
Louis Vuitton adds a bit of luxe to the 50s silhouette for the 2010 Autumn/Winter collection.
